Virginia

Well, we had a hard time finding Dave's place, ( but I new where it was all the time, they just wouldn't believe me.) anyway when we did find it. Parker came out all excited, (as always). Dave showed us around his place. It smelled so good with his candles burning.

David had this game room in his basement that had a PS3, pool table, air hockey, & a theater. It was so cool, because Dave had his PS3 hooked up to his theater so we watched our playing on the wall.

the day after that, we went to Charlottesville. It mas a historic place, It has it's history around the Civil War. And it was cool seeing all the historic buildings and the shops and the reinacters. And it was a beautiful day.
This is Stonewall Jackson's statue.

This is 1 of the buildings Jefferson built which is now the county building.

This the reinactment.
later we went home for dinner, and played PS3.
The next day we packed up and went home. It was great vacaition. I had a lot fun!

Vacation

Well, we got up early and headed off to North Carolina. We also stopped at a hotel on the way down to beach. The next morning, we drove the rest of the down. It was raining off & on the whole way, when we got there we managed to get unpacked. Later Dave and Carissa came. It also stopped raining long enough for us to get a walk on the beach. But most of the day we just chilled.
The next day, we went out on the beach.

Even Parker couldn't wait to get out onto the beach.

In the afternoon, we went next door to our cousin beach house because Cousin Eugene & Betty were coming for a visit. They live down there. We all had lunch together.

After our visit we went back down on the beach with our cousins. It felt good to be out on the water again!

Monday & Tuesday we basically did the beach & fished.

When I went fishing, I caught 5 fish.

Dave caught a nice flounder.

Later that afternoon, we went to a museum on the island. It was cool learning about the history of the island & its part in WWII.

Vacation Continued

Wednesday, we went to the North Carolina Aquarium at Port Fisher near Wilmington. It was neat! It was a big place that had sharks, jelly fish, puffer fish, Morey eels, snakes alligators, etc.

Then we took a ferry to the South Port.

After we toured around the town we stopped in at the Maritime Museum.

Then we went on to Wilmington & walked along the historic water front section of town.

Later, we drove around & looked at the pretty homes while the traffic cleared.

Then we went to old The Cotton Exchange building where there were all kinds of shops. My favorite was the Fire & Spice Gourmet shop, because of all the neat hot sauces they have.

Then we ate at Sticky Fimgers rib joint before we headed back to the beach house. Mmmmm, mmmm, it was so good! They had different flavor of sauces we could try, & I like the Memphis Original sauce the best.
Thursday was the last nice day of our time at the beach, but it started out cold! We started out the day with pancakes.

Then we joined our cousin hunting for shells at the bottom of the island while my Dad did some more fishing. The picture of Aaron & I is the one Robyn took of us. Mom couldn't hike
that far.

This is what we got.

Then we all went fishing again that afternoon. This is my catch.

Then later Moose & I helped Dan dig a deep hole on the beach.

Then later that night we all went over to celebrate my cousin, Joshie's birthday.

Friday was our last day at the beach. It was soooo dark & stormy. But our hole managed to survive.

We cleaned & packed up so that we could leave first thing Saturday morning. This is how we left the beach. Now on to Dave & Carissa's place in Lynchburg, VA.

Catching up - part 2

DEEP CREEK

In the beginning of August we went to my grandma's place at Deep Creek. The day we got there, we decided to go over to the Garrett County Fair which was right next to my grandma's campground. It was cool seeing all the animals, tractor, & eating the food there. Here are some pictures of the day.

We were walking through the pig section & they were all sleeping.

Then we went to the sheep & goats building. They liked to stand up on their cages. Some were up & around others were sleeping too, like these 2.

My favorite were the cows. This one was being dragged to get his picture taken.

Then after we ate, we went to check out the tractors.

After that we went to the buildings with the artwork & contests in them.

Then we headed back to Grandma's place for dinner. We were tired so it was nice just to chill. It was a good day though.
SWALLOW FALLS

The next day we went to 2 state parks with small lakes. But since my mom forgot her camera we got no pictures. Then the next after that we went hiking up at Swallow Falls. Instead of going the normal way we usually go, we hiked the trail across the river. We hiked all the way down to where Muddy Creek meets the Yough river. We climbed all over the rocks & found a huge spider that was the size of a CD. Afterwards, we found, in a pool, a sucker fish trapped. It was so still that you could touch it & I did. Then we hiked back for lunch. After lunch, we went over the bridge & hiked down Toliver Falls trail to Swallow Falls. We sat there for about an hour watching people. After dinner we headed home.

FALL YOUTH CAMP

The next event was camp. Friday, Brittini spoke at the afterglow & then my mom did a foot washing service. I helped with the water. It was for us to have unity during the weekend. This is the building & room we used for our meetings.

The next day, we played football, went swimming, and had fun. That night Jimmy Kotow had a prayer meeting. Sunday, we went to a nearby park & did dramas & outreach. When we came back, we did the ropes course to

bring unity to the group. That night Kalyn spoke about God's will at the camp fire service. Monday, was the last day. Pastor Ken

Huhn came and taught about the Goliaths in our lives.

This was our dining hall.

Saturday was Stunt Night

Later we cleaned, pack up and went home. I thought it was a great camp and God really moved.
