Catching Up
Well, for the week of Thanksgiving we had Parker, because Dave and Carissa had to go to her grandmother's funeral in Kansas City. They came back Friday, so that night we had Thankgiving. Grandma and her friend Jack joined us along with Aunt Jacque.
Thanksgining dinner
it was delicious!The next event was the Christmas Banquet. the first thing every year is pictures. Everybody took pictures and talked for a while. Then it was time to eat & the food was good! I love miss Harriet's cooking. afterward, we sang some Christmas hymns, and Dan Mayak Sr. spoke for a while, then the main event was the gift exchange. We had a lot of fun there.
After that event was Christmas, and David and Carissa came up for Christmas. Since my dad was working on Christmas Day, we had our Christmas the Friday after. Well on Christmas day, we went to Grandmas and Dad joined us when he got off of work. The dinner was good, and we enjoyed catching up.
On our Christmas morning, the 1st thing we did was to open our stockings. I got a big bag of Skittles, Axe body wash, squeegee ball (to go with it), an orange, chocolate, and a McDonalds gift card. Then we went down stairs and ate sticky buns. While we were having sticky buns, I was saying that the sticky buns were sticking to my teeth, when Dave said that exactly why you need these. And that is when he pulled out our first gift - electric toothbrushes. Afterwards Dad read the nativity story from the Bible, it was Carissa turn to put baby Jesus in the manger. Then Parker got his gift, it was a BIG bone. Well that got him distacted so we open our own gifts. Moose and I got a Creative Zen & we got all these Wii games. Dad got us backboard and hoop, because our old one was broken. We also got movies. Everyone got good gifts.
Later that day we went to Mingo to play rain football. It was cold, wet, and slippery so it was hard to play. But it was fun, except the fact that our team lost but oh well.Saturday because of the rain we went back and play mud football. The good part was it was warm and more people came to play. But the bad thing was our team lost again! Oh well, I had fun anyway.
A couple of weeks later we had Dan's birthday party. While we were cleaning we decided that since Dan moved up stairs, to take a part the bunk bed & turn it into two twin beds.
Well, before the party, we went to Tan-O-Bell to bowl. It was fun, but I didn't do to well. I got in the 90's about every time. but I don't play to often. We played three games, and then we went back home for the party. When we got back, we all played Mario kart and ate pizza. And to have some of my favorite - Moca punch. It was so good!
So now you are all caught up for now.

Virginia
Well, we had a hard time finding Dave's place, ( but I new where it was all the time, they just wouldn't believe me.) anyway when we did find it. Parker came out all excited, (as always). Dave showed us around his place. It smelled so good with his candles burning.
David had this game room in his basement that had a PS3, pool table, air hockey, & a theater. It was so cool, because Dave had his PS3 hooked up to his theater so we watched our playing on the wall.
the day after that, we went to Charlottesville. It mas a historic place, It has it's history around the Civil War. And it was cool seeing all the historic buildings and the shops and the reinacters. And it was a beautiful day.

The next day we packed up and went home. It was great vacaition. I had a lot fun!

Vacation
Well, we got up early and headed off to North Carolina. We also stopped at a hotel on the way down to beach. The next morning, we drove the rest of the down. It was raining off & on the whole way, when we got there we managed to get unpacked. Later Dave and Carissa came. It also stopped raining long enough for us to get a walk on the beach. But most of the day we just chilled.
The next day, we went out on the beach.
Even Parker couldn't wait to get out onto the beach.
In the afternoon, we went next door to our cousin beach house because Cousin Eugene & Betty were coming for a visit. They live down there. We all had lunch together.
After our visit we went back down on the beach with our cousins. It felt good to be out on the water again!
